Students learn about the basic building blocks of modern electronics, such as resistors, capacitors and transistors, to name a few, and how they work together to make complex circuits.
Students start with basic circuits and work their way up to more complex circuits which use integrated circuits. They learn to read circuit diagrams, learn to use a multimeter.
They make exciting circuits that buzz, blink and beep and at the end of the class they can take home their kits.
From time-to-time we take apart electronic gadgets to look inside them and to identify the different parts and to try and figure out how they work.
In our more advanced classes we work with microcontroller circuits where we learn to program Arduino-based hardware.
